vivo has officially launched the Y31s 5G in Malaysia, arriving as a brand-new device despite sharing its name with a 2021 Chinese model.
Under the hood, it runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 (4nm) octa-core processor with 5G support, paired with vivo’s OriginOS 6.0.
The 6.745-inch FHD display tops out at 1,050 nits of peak brightness, keeping things readable even under direct sunlight.
On the camera front, the Y31s 5G sports a dual rear setup with a 50MP main shooter and a 2MP bokeh lens, while the front gets a 32MP wide-angle camera marketed for group selfies.

The headline feature is arguably the 6,500mAh BlueVolt Battery with 44W FlashCharge support — a generous capacity for a phone at this price tier.

Durability is another strong suit, with the device carrying IP68, IP69, and IP69+ certifications for water and dust resistance.
Other notable features include NFC, Type-C audio, call recording, and a 400% volume boost mode. The phone weighs in at 209g.

The vivo Y31s 5G is now listed on vivo’s official Malaysia website.

The phone is available in a single 6GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration, priced at RM1,199, and comes in Black and Purple.
