OPPO has officially launched two new flagship smartphones today — the Find X9 Ultra and the Find X9s — at a joint OPPO × Hasselblad event on April 21, 2026. The dual launch marks a historic milestone for the brand, as the Find X9 Ultra becomes the first-ever Ultra-tier device from OPPO to be released outside of China. Malaysia is among the first wave of markets, with Early Bird Pre-orders now open on the OPPO Malaysia official website.

The headline feature of the Find X9 Ultra is its world-first dual 200MP Hasselblad quad-camera system. The primary shooter uses a 200MP Sony IMX09E sensor with a light-gathering area comparable to a 1-inch sensor, while the 3x periscope telephoto also packs a 200MP OmniVision OV52A sensor — delivering 136% more light intake than its predecessor, which OPPO has dubbed the “New Night God” lens.

Rounding out the rear camera array is a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JNL periscope telephoto with true 10x optical zoom, achieved through OPPO’s proprietary Quintuple Prism Reflection Structure that folds light five times without adding bulk, alongside a 50MP Sony LYT-600 ultrawide. All four lenses are Hasselblad-certified.
A standout addition to the camera system is the second-generation Danxia Color Restoration Lens, a multispectral sensor that samples across 24 spectral channels and reduces algorithm power consumption by 80% compared to its predecessor. Together, the full array is positioned by OPPO as a true “Pocket Hasselblad,” backed by Hasselblad’s Natural Color Solution 3.0 which focuses on accurate skin tones and high-dynamic-range shadow rendering without the over-processed AI look common in competing flagships.

Under the hood, the Find X9 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. OPPO’s proprietary Tide Engine works alongside the processor to maintain stable 144fps output across popular mobile game genres including MOBA and FPS titles. The display is a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and a minimum brightness of just 1nit, making it comfortable for nighttime use.

Battery life is another major talking point. The Find X9 Ultra houses a 7,050mAh dual-cell Silicon-Carbon battery in a chassis measuring just 8.6mm thin — a feat made possible by third-generation silicon-carbon anode technology with significantly higher energy density than standard lithium-ion cells. Charging is handled by 100W SuperVOOC wired and 50W AirVOOC wireless. The device also comes equipped with a dedicated satellite communication chip, enabling calls and messages in areas without conventional network coverage. It ships with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.

Launching alongside the Ultra is the more compact Find X9s, catering to users who prefer a smaller form factor without sacrificing flagship-tier essentials. It features a 6.3-inch flat AMOLED display with symmetrical 1.15mm bezels on all four sides, and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s — an overclocked variant of the Dimensity 9500. On the camera front, the Find X9s carries a Hasselblad-tuned triple 50MP setup comprising a main, ultrawide, and periscope telephoto lens, complemented by the Danxia Color Restoration Lens for accurate color reproduction and a 32MP front camera for selfies.
The Find X9s also packs a 7,025mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC fast charging and wireless charging support, along with an IP69 dust and water resistance rating. It runs ColorOS 16 out of the box. Think of it as a refined evolution of the standard Find X9 — same core flagship DNA, packaged in a sleeker, more pocketable body.
