HONOR 600 Series Launches in Malaysia: Snapdragon 8 Elite, 200MP Camera, 7000mAh Battery

HONOR officially launched the HONOR 600 series in Malaysia today (22 April), making the country the global first market for the lineup — ahead of China and all other regions. The launch event took place at 3PM and was livestreamed via HONOR Malaysia’s official Facebook page.

The series arrives in three models: the flagship HONOR 600 Pro, the standard HONOR 600, and the HONOR 600 Lite, which had already gone on sale earlier at RM1,399.

On the performance front, the two main models are differentiated by their chipsets. The HONOR 600 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the standard HONOR 600 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Both models run MagicOS on top of Android 16.

Both phones share the same 6.55-inch 1.5K 10-bit OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 8,000 nits. Compared to the previous HONOR 400 series, the bezels have been trimmed down for a more refined look.

In terms of cameras, both the HONOR 600 and 600 Pro come with a 200MP main sensor featuring a 1/1.4-inch sensor size, OIS/EIS dual stabilisation, and flagship-grade CIPA 6.5 image stabilisation. Both also share a 12MP ultrawide lens with a 112-degree field of view, as well as a 50MP selfie camera. The key differentiator is the HONOR 600 Pro’s additional 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, which the standard model does not have.

Battery capacity is the same across both models — a 7000mAh silicon-carbon (Si-C) cell with 80W wired fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging.

The HONOR 600 Pro goes a step further by also supporting 50W wireless fast charging.

Both devices are rated IP68 + IP69 + IP69K for dust and water resistance, and come with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and stereo speakers.

A standout AI feature across the series is AI Image to Video 2.0, which allows users to turn up to three still photos into short video clips of three to five seconds in length. The feature includes 13 preset templates as well as support for custom text prompts. HONOR has also included voice-based AI photo editing tools, allowing users to describe changes to their images verbally.

Design-wise, the HONOR 600 series adopts a full-width horizontal camera bar across the upper back panel — a departure from the visor-style module seen on the HONOR 400 series. The lineup is offered in several colourways including Golden White, which uses a cold carving craftsmanship finish for a premium texture.

The HONOR 200 (12+512GB) launches in Malaysia at RM2,599, while the HONOR 200 Pro starts at RM3,099 (12+256GB) and RM3,299 (12+512GB).

Early bird purchasers will receive a RM200 discount plus exciting freebies.
