Yes Becomes Malaysia’s First Telco to Commercially Launch 5G Advanced

YTL Communications has once again made history as the first telco in Malaysia to commercially launch 5G Advanced through its service brand, Yes. The rollout, which is already live across the Klang Valley and set for nationwide completion by December 2025, promises deeper 5G coverage, faster performance, and AI-ready connectivity to benefit both consumers and businesses.

The official launch took place at the “Yes Presents: The Future First Tech-Talk” event, where Yes showcased 5G Advanced’s next-level features — including class-leading downlink and uplink speeds, ultra-low latency, and, for the first time in Malaysia, advanced network slicing with quality-of-service prioritisation — a “VIP lane” for consistent, stable connectivity across the Yes 5G network.
