Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Lands in Malaysia From RM2,899, Pre-Orders Now Live With Up to RM700 in Savings

Samsung has just pulled the wraps off the Galaxy S26 FE globally, and Malaysian fans don’t have to wait — pre-orders are open right now through Samsung Malaysia, complete with a stack of launch-day perks.

Positioned as the more wallet-friendly sibling in the S26 lineup, the Fan Edition rounds out the family nicely for anyone chasing flagship features without the flagship price tag.

Don’t expect a dramatic redesign here — Samsung’s kept things familiar, carrying over much of the S25 FE’s DNA. The phone measures a slim 7.4mm thick and tips the scales at 193g, giving it a solid, reassuring feel in hand rather than a flimsy one.

It’s also IP68-certified, so splashes, spills, and the occasional downpour won’t be an issue. Up front, Gorilla Glass Victus+ handles scratch and drop protection, a step up in peace of mind compared to its predecessor.

Samsung hasn’t messed with a good thing on the screen front. The S26 FE keeps its 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel, running at 2340 x 1080 resolution with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Typical brightness sits at 1,200 nits, but step outside into harsh sunlight and it’ll punch up to 1,900 nits at peak — so squinting at a washed-out screen shouldn’t be a problem.

This year’s chip is Samsung’s own 3nm Exynos 2500. It’s not the top-tier silicon reserved for the main S26 lineup, but for a phone at this price point, it’s a genuinely respectable choice that should handle everyday streaming, gaming, and multitasking without breaking a sweat.

Battery capacity holds steady at 4,900mAh, roughly matching last year’s model — but the real story here is the cell chemistry. Samsung has reportedly brought the same silicon-carbon battery tech found in the flagship Fold 8 Ultra down to the FE line, which theoretically packs more capacity into the same footprint and should translate to better endurance.

Charging is handled via 45W wired and 15W wireless, so a quick top-up on the go is easy enough.

Round the back, you’ll find a triple-camera setup: a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide, and an 8MP telephoto shooter (also OIS-stabilized) offering 3x optical zoom. Selfies are handled by a 12MP front camera.

There’s not much of a generational leap here compared to last year, but the setup remains dependable for portraits, landscapes, and low-light shots.

Out of the box, the Galaxy S26 FE ships on Android 17 with Samsung’s latest One UI 9 layered on top, bringing along a fresh batch of Samsung’s newest AI features. Expect a noticeably smarter, smoother experience compared to the outgoing model.

Storage, RAM and Pricing

Every configuration comes standard with 8GB of RAM, while buyers get to choose between three storage tiers — 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB — covering everything from casual users to power users who need the extra headroom.

Here’s how Malaysian pricing breaks down for pre-orders:

  • 128GB — RM2,899
  • 256GB — RM3,299
  • 512GB — RM4,099

Samsung isn’t skimping on launch incentives either. Shoppers paying via credit card with SPayLater installments can slash up to RM600 off the sticker price. Stack on an extra RM100 discount for verified Samsung Fan members, and the savings really add up.

Combine both promotions and effective pricing drops to RM2,499, RM2,799, and RM3,399 across the three storage tiers respectively — a solid deal considering how much memory chip prices have climbed industry-wide this year.
