iQOO 15 Officially Launched in China — Flagship Power Meets Advanced Display and Camera Technology

iQOO 15 Debuts in China with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Flagship-Level Upgrades

iQOO has officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphone — the iQOO 15 — in China. The new device continues the brand’s focus on raw performance while bringing notable improvements in display, camera, and endurance over its predecessor.

Design & Build: Sleek Aesthetics and Durable Body

The iQOO 15 comes in four colourways, including a special colour-changing edition. The back panel features refined AG glass finishing with a curved edge design and the brand’s signature Energy Halo LED ring.
The device is also IP68 and IP69-rated, ensuring top-tier water and dust resistance.

Display: Samsung 2K AMOLED LTPO Panel with 144Hz Refresh Rate

On the front, the iQOO 15 houses a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED LTPO display with:

  • 2K resolution

  • 144Hz adaptive refresh rate

  • 2,600 nits peak brightness

  • 2160Hz PWM + DC Dimming

  • Dolby Vision & HDR10+ support

The display also features an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanner, offering both security and convenience.

Performance: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 + Q3 Gaming Chip

Powering the iQOO 15 is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, built on a 3nm process for improved power efficiency.
The device also integrates iQOO’s custom Q3 gaming chip, enhancing real-time ray tracing, frame interpolation, and visual effects in supported games.

For memory and storage, the iQOO 15 offers up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring blazing-fast multitasking and load times.

Battery & Charging: 7,000mAh with 100W Fast Charging

One of the biggest highlights is its massive 7,000mAh battery, which supports:

  • 100W wired charging

  • 40W wireless charging

  • Bypass and reverse charging

The large battery ensures long gaming and streaming sessions without overheating, thanks to the phone’s advanced thermal management system.

Camera: Triple 50MP Setup with Sony IMX921 Sensor

For photography, the iQOO 15 features a triple 50MP camera system:

  • 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor (1/1.56”) with OIS

  • 50MP periscope telephoto lens (up to 3x optical zoom)

  • 50MP ultra-wide camera

On the front, there’s a 32MP selfie shooter housed in a centered punch-hole cutout.
The camera system supports enhanced AI optimization, live photo effects, and HDR video capture.

Software: Android 16 with OriginOS 6

The iQOO 15 runs on Android 16 out of the box, layered with OriginOS 6.
The new interface introduces smoother animations, improved multitasking tools, and better system longevity — promising a “five-year smooth experience.”

Connectivity options include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and dual 5G support.

The iQOO 15 is currently available only in China. While iQOO Malaysia has yet to confirm a local release, the brand’s consistent global rollout pattern suggests that a Malaysian debut could be just around the corner.
