HUAWEI Malaysia has officially launched the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 series in Malaysia, comprising the standard WATCH GT 7 and higher-end WATCH GT 7 Pro.
The WATCH GT 7 comes in 41mm and 46mm sizes, while the WATCH GT 7 Pro is available exclusively in 46mm. Both feature AMOLED touchscreens with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and a 466 × 466 resolution. The standard model uses a stainless-steel case, while the Pro upgrades to a titanium case, nano-ceramic bezel and sapphire glass.
Battery life is rated at up to 21 days for the 46mm model under light usage, or around 12 days with typical use. The 41mm version can last up to 14 days, with typical usage rated at around seven days.
Both models offer 5 ATM and IP69 water and dust resistance. The Pro model additionally supports free diving down to 50 metres and comes with an ECG feature.
Health tracking is also a major focus this generation. The WATCH GT 7 series introduces Physical Readiness Score, which combines factors such as recovery, HRV, sleep, activity levels and emotional wellbeing to provide a daily indication of the user’s readiness.
For the Malaysian market, Huawei is also introducing a Diabetes Risk Study led by Universiti Malaya. The watch uses pulse-wave data collected through its PPG sensor, combined with information such as age, gender, height and weight, to assess potential diabetes risk after three to 14 days of continuous wear. Huawei notes that this is intended for health and research purposes and does not replace a medical diagnosis.
For fitness, the series adds improvements for cycling, skiing and golf, alongside Enhanced AI-XDR Positioning and Smart Route Reconstruction, which can help reconstruct routes when GPS signals are interrupted or affected.
The WATCH GT 7 Pro further adds features including Intelligent Climbing Planning, Sharp Turn Alerts, Lactate Threshold Analysis, as well as golf tools such as Plays-like Distance and Shot Distance Tracking.
For everyday use, both models support Touch ‘n Go QR payments and are compatible with Android and iOS devices. Huawei has also introduced the EasyCross Strap, featuring an inward-folding design for a cleaner look when worn.
