Huawei Malaysia has officially pulled the curtain on two new devices today, April 21, 2026 — the HUAWEI MatePad Mini and the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2. Both are available for purchase through Huawei’s official website, as well as its flagship stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
HUAWEI MatePad Mini — From RM2,399

The MatePad Mini is Huawei’s long-awaited entry into the compact tablet space, and it arrives with a headline feature that Apple has yet to bring to its own iPad mini: a Flexible OLED PaperMatte Display. The 8.8-inch panel uses nano-etching technology to minimize glare and reflections, hitting a peak brightness of 1,800 nits with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.

At just 5.2mm thin and 260g, it is genuinely pocketable in a way that most tablets are not.
Under the hood, the tablet packs 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The camera system comprises a 50MP main shooter and an 8MP ultrawide lens on the rear, with a 32MP front camera for video calls.
A 6,400mAh battery keeps things running, topped up by 66W SuperCharge. Notably, the MatePad Mini ships with a built-in SIM card slot across all variants, meaning it can make and receive calls independently — essentially functioning as an oversized phone.

The tablet runs HarmonyOS and supports the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro stylus alongside productivity apps including HUAWEI Notes, GoPaint, and a PC-grade WPS Office suite.
It is available in a single Spruce Green colorway in Malaysia with RRP of RM2,399.

Pre-order buyers receive a bundle of gifts worth up to RM2,014, which includes the M-Pencil Pro, a Folio Cover, WPS Office 3.0, a three-year one-time free battery replacement, PaperMatte Display Care, and a one-year APAC warranty. A RM100 deposit secures the deal along with an additional RM200 early bird voucher.
HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 — Built for Serious Runners

Alongside the tablet, Huawei is also launching the WATCH GT Runner 2, a smartwatch engineered from the ground up for dedicated runners. The headline upgrade over its predecessor is a new 3D Floating Antenna system that integrates the metal mid-frame, dielectric bezel, and titanium casing to significantly boost GPS signal reception — Huawei claims positioning accuracy has improved by 20% compared to the original GT Runner.
A first-of-its-kind Intelligent Fusion Positioning Algorithm further addresses signal drop-out by drawing on accelerometer and gyroscope data to reconstruct a runner’s route even when GPS is lost in tunnels, underpasses, or dense urban environments.

The Intelligent Marathon Mode is another standout, offering integrated race management tools and AI-guided training plans to help runners target a personal best. Hardware-wise, the watch sports a 1.32-inch AMOLED display running at 466×466 pixels with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits for clear outdoor visibility.
The casing is aerospace-grade titanium, and the whole unit weighs just 34.5g paired with its AirDry woven strap. Health tracking covers ECG, heart rate variability, blood oxygen, sleep apnea detection, and high-altitude adaptation alerts. Battery life reaches up to 14 days in light use, and 32 hours with precise GPS tracking enabled.
The watch is available in Dawn Orange, Dusk Blue, and Midnight Black and is officially priced at RM1,499.

Pre-order customers stand to receive gifts worth up to RM1,480, including the HUAWEI FreeArc earbuds, a fluoroelastomer strap, and a HUAWEI Health MultiPass. The official retail price has yet to be announced and is expected to be confirmed at today’s launch event. Keep an eye on Huawei Malaysia’s official channels for the latest updates.
