HONOR Magic9 Pro Max Is Coming to Malaysia With ARRI Co-Engineered Imaging

HONOR Magic9 Pro Max and the 35th Malaysia Film Festival

HONOR has confirmed that the Magic9 Pro Max is coming to Malaysia. Local pricing, pre-order details and a release date have yet to be announced. The flagship has also been named the official cinematic imaging smartphone of the 35th Malaysia Film Festival (FFM35), whose awards ceremony is scheduled for 21 November 2026 at Istana Budaya.

What ARRI brings to the Magic9 Pro Max

The Magic9 Pro Max debuted in China in September with two 200MP cameras and a video workflow co-engineered with ARRI. The phone incorporates selected elements of ARRI Image Science, including LogC3 recording, ARRI Wide Gamut 3 and ARRI Looks.

For creators who colour-grade their footage, LogC3 and ARRI Wide Gamut 3 provide a starting point for adjusting tones and colours in post-production. ARRI Looks offer preset colour treatments for creators who want to establish a visual style more quickly.

A local tie-in with Malaysia’s film festival

HONOR is partnering with the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) for FFM35. The awards ceremony is set for 21 November, while HONOR has yet to detail which configurations will be sold locally or when buyers can place an order.
