vivo’s V80 Lite 5G has officially launched in Malaysia, and the headline feature is hard to miss: a 10,000mAh (9,800mAh rated) BlueVolt battery built on 4th-Gen Silicon Anode Technology.
vivo says it retains at least 80% capacity after 1,400 charge cycles, good for roughly seven years of use. Lab tests claim 12 hours of mixed daily use, 68 hours of calls, and 30 hours of video streaming or TikTok playback on a single charge.
The phone also set a Guinness World Records mark with a 32-hour 37-minute continuous livestream test. A semi-solid electrolyte keeps power delivery stable even at 45°C, and Reverse Charging lets the phone double as a power bank.
Durability is another focus. The V80 Lite passed five MIL-STD tests (heat, cold, rain, dust, and shock) and survived a 3-metre drop onto carpet in vivo’s testing. It also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings, tested against 22 common liquids, plus rain, immersion, and washing-machine tumble tests.
On the front is a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with 2000 nits peak brightness, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and SGS certifications for eye comfort.
Performance reaches up to 940,000 in AnTuTu benchmarks, backed by a 3.8K vapor chamber cooling system — 250% larger than the previous generation — and an AI SuperLink antenna design that vivo says boosts low-frequency signal by 81% in remote areas.
Camera-wise, the phone packs a 50MP Sony IMX852 main sensor, a 2MP bokeh lens, and a 32MP wide-angle selfie camera with a 90° field of view, along with an AI Erase tool for removing unwanted objects from photos.
The V80 Lite comes in four colours — Afterglow Pink, Pearl White, Dawn Black, and Emerald Green — and runs OriginOS 6, featuring Origin Island, Office Kit for PC connectivity, and Google Gemini integration, plus 100GB of free Google One storage for six months.
As for pricing and promotions, an early-bird offer runs from now until 30 September. The vivo V80 Lite 5G is available in three storage variants: the 6+128GB model retails at RM1,499 (early-bird price RM1,399), the 6+256GB variant is priced at RM1,799 (early-bird RM1,699), and the 8+256GB option comes in at RM1,999 (early-bird RM1,899).
