vivo V70 FE Launches in Malaysia With 200MP OIS Camera, 7000mAh Battery, and IP68+IP69 Rating — From RM1,599

vivo Malaysia has officially launched the vivo V70 FE today, April 9, bringing the Fashion Edition of its V70 lineup to local shores.

The headline feature is undoubtedly the 200MP OIS Ultra-Clear Main Camera, built around a Samsung HP5 1/1.56-inch large sensor with an f/1.88 aperture and a self-developed OIS system rated at CIPA 4.0 stabilisation.

Complementing it is an 8MP 120° wide-angle camera at the rear and a 32MP HD selfie camera up front, with both the front and rear capable of 4K video recording.

AI photography features are abundant, including AI 30x Super Zoom with Telephoto Enhancement, Ultra-Clear Photo Crop that maintains sharpness even at 900% zoom, and Ultra-Clear Printing for large-format physical prints. Portrait shooters get four focal length options — 23mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm — with the 85mm mode delivering natural telephoto compression and soft bokeh.

Creative modes include AI Magic Weather, AI Magic Landscape, AI Four-Season Portrait, Film Camera Mode 3.0, and an exclusive POP MART ZSIGA photo border collaboration.

On the display front, vivo V70 FE sports a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel running at up to 120Hz with a resolution of 2800×1260, 449 PPI pixel density, P3 wide colour gamut, HDR10+ support, and a local peak brightness of 1,900 nits in HBM mode — bright enough for outdoor use under Malaysia’s afternoon sun.

An under-display optical fingerprint sensor handles biometric unlocking, while symmetrical dual stereo speakers with Gaming HyperSense Audio offer a 25% wider soundstage and 120% improved audio detail over conventional mono setups.

Under the hood sits a MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo on a 4nm process, paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The chip runs an octa-core configuration clocked at up to 2.5GHz, backed by an Ultra Large VC Smart Cooling System and AI SuperLink for improved antenna coverage and signal stability. Connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, OTG support, and an infrared blaster — a feature increasingly rare at this price tier.

Battery life is one of vivo V70 FE’s strongest suits. The 7000mAh BlueVolt cell is rated for up to 43.8 hours of YouTube playback and 13 hours of Mobile Legends gaming, with 14% remaining after 16 hours of intensive mixed use.

The included 90W FlashCharge takes the phone from 1% to 100% in approximately 60 minutes, and Multi-Scenario Bypass Charging routes power directly to the processor during gaming to reduce heat and preserve battery longevity over time.

The device also carries dual IP68 and IP69 certifications, meaning it can withstand submersion in 1.5 metres of fresh water for up to 120 minutes and endure high-temperature, high-pressure water jets. A dedicated Underwater Photography mode supports shooting at up to 1.5 metres depth for 30-minute sessions.

The vivo V70 FE ships with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, featuring Origin Island, Origin Smooth Engine — which reduces average app response latency by 54% and improves animation rendering efficiency by 35% — alongside Google Gemini integration, AI Search, AI Creation, AI Captions, and a Private Space for encrypted storage.

vivo is committing to four major Android OS upgrades and six years of security patch support for the device. One-Tap Transfer enables wireless file sharing with other smartphones, including cross-platform transfers to iPhones running iOS 17 or later.

Priced from RM1,699, the device is available in 3 configurations — 8GB+256GB at RM1,599, 12GB+256GB at RM1,799 and telco-exclusive 8+512GB at RM1,999 across three colourways: Muse Purple, Ocean Blue, and Titanium Silver.

Purchases made between now and April 17 come with free gifts including a one-year extended warranty and 180-day screen protection, redeemable through the vivo Store app. The V70 FE is available via vivo’s official website, Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
