Samsung’s first-ever tri-fold smartphone, the Galaxy Z TriFold, is set to make its official debut on December 5. Ahead of the announcement, a major leak has revealed nearly all key specifications—including a giant 10-inch internal display, a 200MP main camera, and Qualcomm’s flagship processor.

10-Inch Inner Display: Smartphone and Tablet in One

According to well-known tipster Evan Blass, Samsung’s new tri-fold device will officially be called Galaxy Z TriFold.

  • It features a 6.5-inch cover display with up to 2600 nits peak brightness, delivering a standard smartphone experience without unfolding the device.

  • When fully opened, it transforms into a 10-inch tablet-like inner display with a peak brightness of 1600 nits, offering a large canvas for productivity, entertainment, and multitasking.

The tri-fold form factor allows the device to function both as a phone and a compact tablet.

Tri-Fold Structure and Thickness Details

Due to the complexity of its triple-hinge mechanism, the Galaxy Z TriFold does not have a uniform thickness.
Blass reports that the three folding segments measure approximately:

  • 4.0 mm

  • 4.2 mm

When completely folded, the device measures around 14 mm thick, though its overall weight remains unknown.

Flagship-Level Camera System: 200MP Main Sensor

The Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to feature Samsung’s most advanced camera setup to date, headlined by a 200MP primary camera sensor—likely the same sensor found in the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Battery specifications for the Galaxy Z TriFold are also promising:

Evan Blass further confirms that the Galaxy Z TriFold will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon flagship processor.
Based on timing and product strategy, the chip is highly likely to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite—the same SoC used in the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Z Fold 7.

While the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 has already launched, it is unlikely to be featured in this model due to development schedules.

Price & Availability: Expected to Start at $3,000

According to leaks, the Galaxy Z TriFold will come with a premium price tag:
