Malaysia to Roll Out Targeted RON95 Petrol Subsidies Using PADU Database

The government will use the Central Database Hub (PADU) to identify eligible recipients for targeted RON95 petrol subsidies, Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan said in Parliament.

He confirmed the system is ready, with final details being finalised before the RON95 subsidy rationalisation begins. The move shifts from blanket subsidies to a targeted approach, aiming to ensure aid reaches those most in need.

PADU consolidates data from 204 agencies into 30.4 million citizen profiles, covering income, dependents, and vehicle ownership. Officially verified records will take priority to prevent false claims, and Malaysians are urged to update their PADU details ahead of the rollout.
