HONOR China has officially introduced its new flagship smartphone lineup, the HONOR 500 series, comprising the HONOR 500 and the high-end HONOR 500 Pro.
The series is positioned to redefine expectations in battery endurance and mobile photography, with both models featuring a massive 8000mAh battery and a 200-megapixel primary camera system. The devices are now available for pre-sale, with the first official sale scheduled for November 27th at 10 AM in China.

The new series incorporates a refined aesthetic, utilizing an aviation-grade aluminum alloy frame paired with an integrated cold-carved glass back panel, available in four striking colors: Sea Blue, Star Pink, Moonlight Silver, and Obsidian Black.
A major design element is the new horizontal “Crystal Island” rear camera module. At just 7.75mm, HONOR claims the device is the thinnest available with an 8000mAh battery.
The standard HONOR 500 weighs 198g, while the Pro model comes in at 201g, with the series offering robust protection via IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust resistance ratings.
Both the HONOR 500 and 500 Pro are equipped with a 6.55-inch 1.5K “Oasis Eye Protection Screen.” This flat display boasts a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a high-frequency 3840Hz PWM dimming mechanism. Certified with TUV Global Eye Protection 5.0, the screen is designed to minimize visual fatigue, featuring functions such as presbyopia visual relief and a dedicated sleep display mode.

It also includes the unique Motion Sickness Relief Display 2.0, which automatically activates in vehicle settings. The panel achieves a local peak brightness of up to 6000 nits and features an industry-leading 1.05mm ultra-narrow bezel.
Powering the devices are the latest Snapdragon processors, with the standard HONOR 500 using the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, and the Pro variant featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. HONOR has integrated its proprietary GPU Turbo X and Phantom Engine 3.0 technologies to ensure superior and stable gaming performance, promising ultra-low jitter rates even at high frame rates.

At the core of the series is the powerful imaging system, anchored by a 200MP Super Night Scene main camera utilizing a large 1/1.4-inch sensor. The HONOR 500 features a dual-camera setup, combining the 200MP main lens with a 12MP ultra-wide macro lens.
The Pro model upgrades to a triple-camera system, adding a 50MP periscope telephoto lens that enables 5x optical zoom and 50x hybrid zoom. The 50MP front camera supports advanced AI portrait features, including the industry-first feature of synchronized Live portrait beauty and bokeh effects for both the front and rear cameras. The camera software also offers innovative “Live” functionality, such as the “Breaking Out of the Frame” effect for simulated 3D depth and one-touch pedestrian removal from photos.

Complementing the performance is the 8000 mAh battery, which supports 80W wired fast charging across the series. The Pro model adds the convenience of 50W wireless Super Fast Charging and 27W reverse charging.
All models include NFC, dual speakers, and multi-frequency GPS/Beidou support, while the Pro version is further differentiated by a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
The HONOR 500 series offers seven total configurations. The base HONOR 500 starts at CNY 2,699 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version, with the highest standard model (16GB+512GB) priced at CNY 3,299. The premium HONOR 500 Pro begins at CNY 3,599 for the 12GB/256GB version and reaches CNY 4,799 for the top-tier 16GB RAM and 1TB storage configuration.
