HONOR Magic V Flip2 Launches in China with 200MP Camera, 5,500mAh Battery and YOYO AI

HONOR Launches Magic V Flip2 in China

After weeks of teasers, HONOR has officially unveiled its latest luxury clamshell foldable — the HONOR Magic V Flip2 — in a launch event that blended haute couture flair with flagship‑grade hardware.

The phone is the product of a renewed collaboration with world‑renowned fashion designer Professor Jimmy Choo, built around the concept of “Haute Couture in Your Pocket, Big Selfies in Your Hand.”

The Magic V Flip2 arrives in Dawn Purple, Moonlight White, Titanium Grey, and Dreamweave Blue — the latter a shimmering, stardust‑inspired finish designed by Choo himself.

HONOR likens the folding motion to “scattered stars over a deep blue ocean,” underscoring the phone’s fashion‑first aesthetic.

The 4.0 inch cover display stretches edge‑to‑edge and supports deep personalization, from wallpapers to interactive pet widgets.

The foldable inner display on the HONOR Magic V Flip2 is generously sized at 6.82 inches, supporting an ultra-high resolution of 2868×1232 pixels, 1.07 billion colors, and the full DCI-P3 wide color gamut. Notably, the screen is built with ultra-durable UTG glass and features HONOR’s latest folding technology.

According to official data, the panel has undergone 350,000 folding cycles with crease depth remaining under 50μm — staying smooth and flat even after five years of regular use.

This incredible achievement earns the Flip2 the SGS long-lasting folding crease certification.

In terms of brightness, both displays are top-tier. The cover screen peaks at 3600 nits under HDR, while the inner screen reaches a staggering 5000 nits.

Both panels also support comprehensive eye protection features, combining hardware-level safeguards with AI-assisted tuning, including ultra-high-frequency PWM dimming for a more natural viewing experience.

Photography takes a leap with a 200MP ultra‑clear main camera paired with a 120° ultra‑wide portrait lens. The wide‑angle “big selfie” mode makes group shots effortless, while landscapes and close‑ups benefit from the massive resolution and advanced optics.

HONOR has packed in a 5,500mAh silicon battery — the largest in any flip phone to date — with 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.

Speaking of specs, the Magic V Flip2 is powered by the dependable flagship-level chip, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, coupled with up to 16+1TB storage option. Other notable features inclue NFC,  IP58 and IP59 water resistance rating etc.

On the software side, the latest YOYO AI assistant promises instant responses and seamless control over tasks like reminders, smart home devices, and information lookups.

With its blend of fashion‑forward design, robust engineering, and flagship specs, the HONOR Magic V Flip2 is positioned to redefine what a luxury flip phone can be.

As for pricing, HONOR Magic V Flip2 comes in 4 storage specs, prices in China are as below:

  • 12GB + 256GB → ¥5499 (~RM3233)

  •  12GB + 1TB → ¥6499 (~RM3822)
  • 16GB + 1TB → ¥7499 (~RM4408)

Malaysian launch and pricing is yet to be confirmed, but given the hardware and design pedigree, it’s set to be one of the most premium clamshells of 2025.
