Google has officially unveiled the Pixel 10a starting at RM2,299, with pre-orders now open and a global release date set for March 5, 2026 (including Malaysia).
The most immediately noticeable change is the redesigned flat back — the camera module now sits flush with the body, meaning the phone can actually lie flat on a table. It comes in four colours: Fog, Obsidian, Berry, and Lavender, with a recycled aluminium frame and plastic rear panel.
Under the hood, the Pixel 10a runs on the Tensor G4 chip — the same processor found in last year’s Pixel 9a — rather than the newer Tensor G5 used in the Pixel 10 series. The 6.3-inch pOLED display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

On the camera front, the 48MP main and 13MP ultrawide setup carries over from its predecessor, but two AI features make their A-series debut here. Auto Best Take analyses multiple frames from a group shot and automatically selects the version where everyone looks their best, while Camera Coach uses Google’s Gemini model to offer real-time guidance on lighting and composition as you shoot.
Battery life sees no change at 5,100mAh, though wired charging has been bumped from 23W to 30W, with 10W wireless charging also supported.

The phone ships with Android 16 and comes with a seven-year guarantee covering OS updates, security patches, and Pixel Drop feature drops. Notably, this is also the first A-series Pixel to include Satellite SOS for emergency messaging without a cellular connection, along with cross-platform file sharing between Quick Share and AirDrop.
For Pixel 9a owners, the case for upgrading is thin given the identical chipset and camera hardware. But for anyone new to the Pixel lineup, the Pixel 10a offers a well-rounded package — particularly its AI-assisted photography experience and long-term software support — at a competitive sub-RM2,500 price point.
