Malaysians renewing their passports through MyOnline Passport can choose a five-year or ten-year validity period from 2 November 2026.

The expanded online service brings the ten-year option to eligible applicants aged 18 and above. It is an update to the online renewal channel, rather than the first introduction of ten-year Malaysian passports.

How much does renewal cost?

Applicant 5 years 10 years
Standard applicants aged 18–59 RM200 RM350
Applicants aged 60 and above RM100 RM175

For a standard adult applicant, one ten-year passport costs RM50 less than two five-year passports at the current rates. Special categories have their own eligibility and fee rules.

Use the official renewal portal

Visit the Immigration Department’s e-Services website and select MyOnline Passport. Check the latest photo requirements, eligibility, payment and collection instructions before submitting.

Do not assume the same online renewal process covers first-time applications or lost and damaged passports.
