HONOR has officially launched its new WIN 2 gaming phone series in China, introducing three models: the HONOR WIN 2, HONOR WIN RT 2 and HONOR WIN Turbo 2.
The lineup caters to different gaming needs, with the standard WIN 2 focusing on flagship performance and advanced cooling, the WIN RT 2 prioritising battery life, and the WIN Turbo 2 offering a simplified gaming phone design.
Across the range, key highlights include high-refresh-rate OLED displays, large-capacity batteries and gaming-focused features designed to improve performance during extended gaming sessions.
HONOR WIN 2
The HONOR WIN 2 is the flagship model of the lineup, combining top-tier processing power with advanced cooling, fast charging and a high-refresh-rate display.

Powering the phone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 flagship chipset, manufactured using a 2nm process, with its prime CPU core clocked at up to 5.0GHz. It is paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

HONOR also incorporates its HONOR Phantom Engine to optimise gaming performance, aiming to maintain stable frame rates and responsive controls during demanding workloads.
The phone features a 6.89-inch LTPS OLED flat display with 2K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 185Hz. Its bezels are reportedly as thin as 0.93mm on all four sides, giving the device a more immersive front-facing design.

The display uses HONOR’s dual-chip Oasis gaming screen technology, alongside the company’s WIN Display enhancement chip. It also supports up to 5920Hz PWM dimming and chip-level dynamic defocus technology designed to improve visual comfort during prolonged use.
While the 185Hz refresh rate enables smoother animations and gameplay where supported, actual in-game frame rates will depend on individual titles and their optimisation.
Dual-fan cooling system

Cooling is one of the WIN 2’s main selling points. The phone features HONOR’s Dongfeng Twin-Star Turbo Cooling System, which uses two fans with different designs to direct airflow towards key heat-generating components, including the SoC and VC vapour chamber.
According to HONOR’s testing, the system can reduce the phone’s temperature by 10°C within 50 seconds, with an overall temperature reduction of up to 14.4°C. The fans can reach speeds of up to 31,000rpm.
The system is designed to help manage heat during extended gaming sessions and reduce the likelihood of thermal throttling under sustained workloads.
Other gaming-focused features include one-touch cooling, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an X-axis linear motor and a dedicated WIN gaming button. The latter offers three levels of vibration and response sensitivity, with support for customisable button mapping in games.
10,100mAh battery with 100W charging

The HONOR WIN 2 packs a 10,100mAh Qinghai Lake battery, supported by 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Although its battery is smaller than the 12,070mAh units found in the other models, the standard WIN 2 offers more versatile charging options, including wireless charging.
It also supports bypass charging, allowing power to be supplied directly to the motherboard under supported conditions. This is intended to reduce additional battery heat when gaming while connected to a charger.
Other specifications include dual 1216 symmetrical speakers, a metal frame, IP68, IP69 and IP69K-rated dust and water resistance, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port. The faster interface gives it an advantage over the USB 2.0 connections found on the other two models.

For photography, the phone features a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and optical image stabilisation (OIS). Its camera system focuses primarily on the main sensor rather than offering a dedicated telephoto camera.
HONOR WIN RT 2

The HONOR WIN RT 2 takes a different approach, balancing flagship-level performance with a larger battery for users who prioritise extended gaming sessions.
According to the reported specifications, the phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
Although it sits below the WIN 2 in the lineup, the chipset is positioned for high-performance gaming and demanding everyday tasks.
The display retains the same core specifications as the flagship model, featuring a 6.89-inch 2K LTPS OLED panel with a 185Hz refresh rate. This means users do not have to sacrifice display resolution or refresh rate to get the larger battery.
Cooling is handled by a single active fan rather than the dual-fan system used in the WIN 2. The fan works alongside the phone’s internal heat-dissipation components to manage temperatures during demanding gaming sessions.
12,070mAh battery and 90W charging

The WIN RT 2’s biggest highlight is its 12,070mAh Qinghai Lake battery, making it one of the lineup’s main options for users seeking extended battery life.
The phone supports 90W wired fast charging, but drops the WIN 2’s 50W wireless charging capability. Its larger battery is therefore the main attraction, rather than a wider range of charging options.
For photography, the WIN RT 2 also features a 200MP main camera with OIS, although its sensor is smaller at 1/1.56 inches compared with the 1/1.4-inch sensor on the standard WIN 2.
Other features include a metal frame, dual 1216 symmetrical speakers, an X-axis linear motor, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and IP68, IP69 and IP69K-rated dust and water resistance.
The phone uses USB 2.0, a slower interface than the USB 3.2 Gen 1 port on the standard model.
HONOR WIN Turbo 2

The HONOR WIN Turbo 2 is the more simplified option in the lineup, dropping the built-in cooling fan in favour of a conventional internal heat-dissipation design.
Its processor is positioned below those of the other two models, although its final chipset specifications should be checked against HONOR’s official product listing.
Despite its more accessible positioning, the phone retains the series’ display focus, featuring a 6.89-inch 2K LTPS OLED screen with a 185Hz refresh rate and a metal frame.
Without an active fan, sustained gaming performance will depend more heavily on the chipset’s efficiency and the phone’s passive cooling system. This does not prevent it from running demanding games, but its long-term thermal performance may differ from that of the other two models.
12,070mAh battery with 90W charging
Like the WIN RT 2, the WIN Turbo 2 features a 12,070mAh battery and supports 90W wired fast charging.
Its key differences lie in processing power, cooling and camera hardware rather than battery capacity.
Other reported specifications include dual 1216 symmetrical speakers, an X-axis linear motor, a metal frame and IP68, IP69 and IP69K-rated dust and water resistance.
The WIN Turbo 2 is aimed at users who want a large battery and a high-refresh-rate display without necessarily needing the more advanced cooling system and flagship hardware of the WIN 2.
