The 2026 Honda City Hatchback facelift has launched in Malaysia with a three-variant range and a larger infotainment screen. Prices start at RM95,900 before incentives, or RM91,900 after the reported RM4,000 launch cash rebate.
The line-up now consists of the V, petrol RS and e:HEV RS hybrid, with the previous S and E variants dropped. The 10-inch Display Audio system is standard across the range, while the 360-degree Multi-View Camera System is reserved for the two RS variants.
Malaysia prices: list price vs launch offer
| Variant | Price before rebate | After RM4,000 launch rebate |
|---|---|---|
| 1.5L V | RM95,900 | RM91,900 |
| 1.5L RS petrol | RM100,900 | RM96,900 |
| 1.5L e:HEV RS | RM112,900 | RM108,900 |
These are reported on-the-road prices excluding insurance. The discounted figures assume eligibility for the launch rebate; buyers should confirm their regional quotation, offer terms and final amount with an authorised Honda dealer.
Mdroid’s launch report also lists separate trade-in incentives: RM2,000 under the qualifying Honda Certified Used Car programme, or RM1,000 for other-brand trade-ins through participating authorised dealers working with CARSOME. These are conditional offers and should not automatically be added together.
A 10-inch screen for every variant
Honda’s official specification table confirms a 10-inch Display Audio system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto across all three versions. The e:HEV RS adds a wireless charger.
The RS models get the Multi-View Camera System for a broader view around the car during parking and tight manoeuvres. Blind Spot Information with Cross Traffic Monitoring and Honda LaneWatch are listed across the range, alongside Honda’s driver-assistance features.
Petrol or hybrid?
| Feature | V / petrol RS | e:HEV RS |
|---|---|---|
| Petrol engine | 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC | 1.5L Atkinson-cycle engine |
| Petrol engine output | 121PS, 145Nm | 98PS, 127Nm |
| Electric motor output | Not applicable | 109PS, 253Nm |
| Transmission | CVT | e-CVT |
The engine and motor figures above are individual ratings, rather than numbers to add together for a combined output. All versions retain Honda’s flexible ULTRA Seats, keeping the hatchback useful for varying passenger and cargo needs.
For buyers focused on the upgraded screen and the lowest entry price, the V is the starting point. Those who specifically want the surround-view camera should compare the petrol RS and e:HEV RS. Dealer test drives and quotations are available through Honda Malaysia.
