HONOR is set to launch the HONOR X9e Pro in Malaysia on 24 September 2026, with Malaysia among the first markets to receive the new mid-range smartphone.
Ahead of the official launch, HONOR has revealed several of the phone’s key upgrades, with the X9e Pro focusing heavily on durability, battery life, water resistance and display brightness.
Massive 11,000mAh Battery
One of the biggest upgrades on the HONOR X9e Pro is its 11,000mAh battery, a significant increase over the 8,300mAh battery found in its predecessor.
The large battery is paired with 80W HONOR SuperCharge, while the phone also supports 27W wired reverse charging, allowing it to provide power to other compatible devices when needed.
Built to Survive 3-Metre Drops
Durability remains one of the key selling points of the X Series, and HONOR is taking things further with the X9e Pro.
The smartphone features HONOR Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Technology 4.0 and has received an SGS 5-Star Comprehensive Reliability certification.
According to HONOR, the device is designed to withstand drops from heights of up to 3 metres across 10 different types of surfaces.
During a recent media demonstration in Malaysia, HONOR also subjected the X9e Pro to repeated air-gun impacts aimed at its display. The device remained intact without visible cracks following the controlled demonstration.
IP68, IP69 and IP69K Water Resistance
Water resistance has also received a major upgrade.
The HONOR X9e Pro carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, providing protection against water immersion as well as high-pressure and high-temperature water jets under specified test conditions.
HONOR says the phone has also been tested for immersion at depths of up to 10 metres.
Meanwhile, the display is claimed to achieve up to 10,000 nits of peak brightness, although HONOR has yet to reveal the complete display specifications.
Four Colours Coming to Malaysia
The HONOR X9e Pro will be offered in four colour options:
Royal Purple, Dawn Gold, Reddish Brown and Midnight Black.
HONOR has yet to disclose the full specifications and official Malaysia price of the X9e Pro.
Those details, along with the launch promotions and gift bundles, are expected to be announced during the HONOR X9e Pro Malaysia launch on 24 September 2026 at 3 PM.
