realme has officially announced the arrival of its 16 Pro series in Malaysia, comprising the realme 16 Pro and realme 16 Pro+. First unveiled globally in India earlier this year, the series is now open for pre-order locally from 26 March to 10 April 2026.
A 200MP Main Camera That Stands Alone Under RM2,500

The headline feature across both models is a 200MP LumaColor Camera system, built around a Samsung HP5 flagship sensor (1/1.56-inch) with an f/1.9 aperture and Super OIS.
realme claims this makes the 16 Pro series the only smartphones in Malaysia under RM2,500 to offer a 200-megapixel primary shooter.
The system is TÜV Rheinland-certified and underpinned by realme’s LumaColor IMAGE technology, which focuses on colour accuracy, dynamic range, and natural skin tone reproduction — tuned specifically for Malaysia’s varied lighting conditions.

Additional camera features include Vibe Master Mode with 21 portrait colour styles, AI background separation, and cinematic bokeh effects. The realme 16 Pro comes with a dual rear camera setup — a 200MP main shooter paired with an 8MP ultrawide (112° field of view, f/2.2) — supporting 1×, 2×, and 4× lossless zoom.

The realme 16 Pro+ steps up to a triple rear camera configuration, adding a 50MP periscope telephoto lens (f/2.8, 3.5× optical zoom, up to 120× Super Zoom), covering five focal lengths: 1×, 1.5×, 2×, 3.5×, and 4×. Both models share a 50MP front camera (f/2.4) for selfies.
Two Different Chips for Two Different Tiers
The realme 16 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max (4nm), scoring around 970,000 on AnTuTu, with an AirFlow VC liquid cooling system to manage thermals during extended use.

The realme 16 Pro+ gets a more capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 (4nm), breaking past the 1,010,000 AnTuTu mark and paired with LPDDR5X memory for snappier performance across heavier workloads. Both variants in Malaysia ship with 12GB RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
Bright, Smooth Displays on Both Models
The realme 16 Pro sports a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2772×1272), 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, 10-bit colour, and a peak brightness of 6,500 nits. The realme 16 Pro+ goes slightly larger at 6.8 inches with a QHD+ resolution (2880×1280), the same 144Hz and 6,500 nit peak brightness, but adds a quad-curved design and a higher touch sampling rate. Both models feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.
7000mAh Battery With 80W Fast Charging

Both phones are equipped with a sizeable 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery paired with 80W wired fast charging. They also support Bypass Charging, reverse wired charging, and a 1% ultra-low battery standby mode — features that make them well-suited for heavy daily users who spend long hours away from a power outlet.
Premium Design, Serious Durability

The series continues realme’s collaboration with renowned Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa, previously behind the well-received GT Master Edition. The realme 16 Pro+ follows an Urban Wild Design philosophy, featuring a bio-based silicone back material and a Metal Mirror Camera Deco ring around the camera module. The realme 16 Pro offers a choice between a standard polycarbonate back and an eco-friendly silicone leather finish. In terms of form factor, the 16 Pro measures just 7.8mm thin and weighs 192g, while the 16 Pro+ comes in at 8.1mm and approximately 198–203g depending on the colour variant.
Both models carry dual IP68 and IP69K water and dust resistance ratings, meaning they can withstand high-pressure water jets — a spec rarely seen at this price point. The front glass is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, and stereo speakers round out the multimedia experience.
realme UI 7.0 Based on Android 16
On the software side, both phones ship with realme UI 7.0 built on Android 16, with a promise of five years of Android security updates and three major OS upgrades. Built-in AI features include AI Recording, AI Framing Master, and Google Gemini integration.
Pricing to Be Revealed After Pre-Order Period
