Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G in Malaysia, with both devices going on sale from March 25, 2026. Running on One UI 8.5, the two mid-range smartphones come loaded with the company’s new AI suite dubbed “Awesome Intelligence,” and represent a broad upgrade across performance, cameras, and durability.
Design flairs remain similar to previous generations, while thickness has been drastically reduced, especially for the A57 5G, making it the thinnest A series phone ever.
Both models share a number of core specs, including a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,900 nits, supported by Vision Booster for better outdoor visibility.
Camera duties are handled by a triple-lens system led by a 50MP main sensor, accompanied by an ultrawide and a 5MP macro lens. Samsung has also upgraded the ISP for improved Nightography low-light performance.
Both phones carry an IP68 dust and water resistance rating and come with a long-term software commitment of six generations of Android OS and One UI updates, plus six years of security patches.
The Galaxy A57 5G sits at the higher end of the two, powered by an Exynos 1680 chipset with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. It features a slimmer glossy design, HDR video recording, faster shutter speeds, and advanced noise reduction.
Its 5,000mAh battery supports Super Fast Charging 2.0, capable of reaching 60% in around 30 minutes.
The Galaxy A37 5G runs on an Exynos 1480 and is available in 8GB or 12GB RAM configurations, also paired with a 5,000mAh battery and 45W wired fast charging.
On the AI front, both phones support Voice Transcription, AI Select for content summarising and editing, Drag & Drop file management, and Circle to Search with Google. A new Private Album feature allows users to quickly lock personal media, while Knox Vault provides hardware-level security.
As for pricing, the Galaxy A57 5G starts at RM2,249 after a RM150 rebate on the 12GB + 256GB model, with the 12GB + 512GB variant coming in at RM2,399 after rebate. The Galaxy A37 5G opens at RM1,799 after rebate for the 8GB + 256GB option, while the 12GB + 256GB version is RM1,899 after rebate. Additional bank and Shopee PayLater discounts of up to RM200 are available until April 29, 2026, with launch offers extending through December 31, 2026.
