The POCO M8 series has officially made its global debut, with Malaysia selected as one of the first countries to receive the new lineup.
Positioned as mid-to-entry-level powerhouses, the series consists of two models: the POCO M8 and the POCO M8 Pro.
POCO M8 Pro
The standout feature of the POCO M8 Pro is its revolutionary battery technology. It features a massive 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery, offering significantly higher energy density than its predecessor. To complement this, it supports 100W HyperCharge, capable of a full 100% charge in just 40 minutes—effectively eliminating “low battery anxiety.”
In terms of aesthetics and display, the Pro model sports a premium 6.83-inch CrystalRes AMOLED 3D curved display. It boasts a peak brightness of 3200 nits, ensuring clarity even under direct sunlight.
The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 3840Hz PWM dimming for eye protection.
Durability is also a priority, with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and a flagship-grade IP68/IP69K dust and water resistance rating.
Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor (4nm), providing a perfect balance between performance and power efficiency.
For photography, it utilizes a 50MP Light-Fusion 800 main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP selfie camera.
POCO M8: Slim Design, Solid Performance
The standard POCO M8 focuses on a sleek, lightweight experience without compromising on specs. At just 7.35mm thin and weighing only 178g, it is one of the most ergonomic devices in its class.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 (4nm) chipset, achieving an AnTuTu score of over 820,000.
It features a 6.77-inch 3D curved Flow AMOLED display with 3200 nits peak brightness and 120Hz refresh rate. A unique addition is the Wet Touch 2.0 technology, which ensures accurate touch response even with wet hands or a splashed screen.
Despite its slim profile, it packs a 5520mAh silicon-carbon battery with 45W fast charging and 18W reverse wired charging, allowing the phone to act as a power bank for wearables.

Both devices come pre-installed with HyperOS 2 (based on Android 15). Xiaomi has committed to 4 major Android OS updates and 6 years of security patches, ensuring long-term reliability.
