Huawei Mate 70 Air Officially Revealed: 7-inch Display, 6500mAh Battery, and Slim 6.6mm Design
Huawei has officially unveiled the Huawei Mate 70 Air, the latest addition to its flagship Mate lineup — and it’s already turning heads for being the lightest Mate flagship ever while still packing premium specifications.
Slim Yet Powerful Design
The Huawei Mate 70 Air features a massive 7-inch FullView display, yet it looks and feels like a regular flagship thanks to its ultra-slim 6.6mm thin body. Despite the large screen, the phone remains comfortable to hold and visually balanced.

Huawei’s new Air model continues the brand’s design legacy — sleek, elegant, and meticulously crafted. It’s slim, but not stripped down. Unlike competing “thin” phones such as the iPhone Air or Samsung Edge, the Mate 70 Air delivers full performance without compromise.
High-Performance Display and Battery
The phone’s display offers a high refresh rate and wide aspect ratio, delivering bright, crisp visuals from any angle. But what truly sets it apart is its battery.
While some thin devices from other brands compromise battery life, Huawei didn’t. The Mate 70 Air packs a massive 6500mAh silicon-carbon anode battery, surpassing even the Mate 70 Pro, Pro+, and Ultimate Design models. It supports 66W SuperCharge, capable of restoring a large portion of power within minutes.
Durability and Immersive Audio Experience
The Mate 70 Air features second-generation Kunlun Glass, offering significantly enhanced drop resistance for greater peace of mind in everyday use.
The device also supports IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, ensuring reliable protection whether you’re caught in the rain, facing splashes, or using it outdoors.

In addition, it is equipped with symmetric dual stereo speakers, delivering an immersive and balanced audio experience — perfect for watching movies, gaming, or enjoying music with flagship-grade sound quality.
XMAGE Quad Camera System
The rear camera module adopts Huawei’s iconic circular “Star Orbit” Deco, similar to the Pro series. It houses a quad-camera setup:
-
50MP Main Camera
-
12MP RYYB Telephoto Camera
-
8MP Ultra-Wide Camera
-
1.5 Million Multi-Spectral Channels Red Maple Primary Color Camera

Powered by the XMAGE imaging system, the Mate 70 Air ensures top-tier image processing, vivid color reproduction, and impressive low-light photography.
HarmonyOS 5.1 and Satellite Connectivity
Out of the box, the Mate 70 Air runs on HarmonyOS 5.1, offering a fluid, intelligent user experience enhanced by deep native app integration. It also supports two-way Beidou satellite communication, ensuring reliable connectivity even without a mobile signal.
Kirin 9020 Series Chipset
Huawei equips the device with two chipset variants:
-
Kirin 9020A (16GB RAM)
-
Kirin 9020B (12GB RAM)
