Huawei MatePad Air 2025 Launches in China — Prices Start at 2999 CNY
Huawei officially launched the MatePad Air 2025 tablet, now listed on the company’s official website. The tablet will be unveiled later today at the Summer New Product Release Conference at 14:00 alongside other new devices.
The new MatePad Air 2025 stands out with two key highlights — a 12-inch ultra-clear eye-protection PaperMatte display and HarmonyOS AI-powered productivity tools.
Design and Display
The MatePad Air 2025 features Huawei’s signature sleek design and is available in four color options: Cherry Blossom Pink, Grass Green, Feather Sand White, and Smoke Gray. The rear camera module is styled similarly to the Nova 12 Ultra series. Measuring 183 x 270 x 5.9mm and weighing around 555g, the tablet is slim and lightweight.
The 12-inch IPS display offers a resolution of 2800 x 1840 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 1000 nits peak brightness, P3 wide color gamut, 280 PPI, and support for 16.7 million colors. The next-generation PaperMatte screen, developed with high-precision nano-etching, reduces screen flash points by 50% and light interference by 99%, providing a paper-like writing and drawing experience with anti-glare protection.
HarmonyOS AI Features
Running HarmonyOS 5.0, the tablet comes with an upgraded Celia AI assistant offering enhanced productivity features:
