Huawei Pura80 Ultra Breaks DXOMARK Record with 175 Points

Huawei’s new Pura80 Ultra has claimed the top spot in DXOMARK’s global smartphone camera rankings with a record‑breaking 175 points, setting a new benchmark for mobile imaging.

The gap over its nearest competitor reflects not just one standout feature, but consistently strong performance across stills, zoom, and video.

The device’s imaging system is anchored by a 1‑inch Ultra Lighting HDR Camera, designed to capture intricate detail in both bright highlights and deep shadows. It works in tandem with Huawei’s Ultra Chroma Camera, which enhances colour accuracy across all lenses for lifelike tones in a variety of lighting conditions.

Intelligent subject segmentation ensures portraits have natural background separation without harsh outlines, while low‑light shots remain sharp and clean with minimal noise.

A Switchable Dual Telephoto Camera enables native optical zoom at approximately 3.7× and 9.4×, delivering crisp detail and consistent colour even at 10× magnification. The ultra‑wide camera offers an expansive field of view with well‑controlled distortion, making it ideal for landscapes and architecture.

In video, the Pura80 Ultra achieved a class‑leading 166 points, thanks to smooth exposure transitions, accurate colour, effective stabilisation, and low noise in dim environments.

Industry observers expect the combination of large‑sensor hardware, versatile optics, and refined computational photography to keep the Pura80 Ultra ahead of rivals for the foreseeable future, positioning it as one of the most capable all‑round camera phones available worldwide.
