Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, and Watch Series Now Available in Malaysia Starting 1 August

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – 1 August 2025 — Samsung has officially launched its latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7, in Malaysia. Available starting 1 August 2025, the new devices aim to deliver smarter user experiences, upgraded camera systems, and expanded productivity capabilities through a blend of hardware innovation and AI integration.

AI Integration Across Display Types

Artificial intelligence is a key focus in this year’s Galaxy Z Series. The Galaxy Z Flip7 introduces Gemini Live support directly on its 4.1-inch FlexWindow, allowing users to interact with their AI assistant, plan trips, and set reminders—all without unfolding the device. The Galaxy Z Fold7, on the other hand, leverages its 8.0-inch main display to offer immersive AI experiences such as Circle to Search, AI Results View, and multitasking suggestions. These features are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, which offers a 41% improvement in neural processing unit (NPU) performance.

Camera Enhancements and AI Editing Tools

Both devices see notable camera upgrades. The Galaxy Z Fold7 features a 200MP main camera and AI-supported editing tools such as Generative Edit and Audio Eraser. The large display allows for efficient photo comparisons and drag-and-drop operations across apps. The Galaxy Z Flip7 features a 50MP wide-angle lens and supports hands-free shooting with FlexCam mode, Zoom Slider, and Real-Time Filters. Additional AI tools like Portrait Studio and Enhanced Nightography further enhance mobile photography across various scenarios.

Productivity and Form Factor Improvements

Designed with productivity in mind, the Galaxy Z Fold7 supports split-screen multitasking, AI-powered results, and a revamped One UI 8 that enables smooth transitions between typing, voice commands, and visuals. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip7 sees a slimmer profile and debuts Samsung DeX for the first time on a Flip device, transforming external monitors into productivity stations. The updated FlexWindow also adds features like Now Bar and Now Brief for quick access to essential information without unfolding the phone.

Ecosystem Expansion with Galaxy Watch8

The new Galaxy Watch8 series complements the foldables with a thinner design—11% slimmer than its predecessor—and enhanced health tracking features. It introduces the Antioxidant Index and Vascular Load metrics to measure stress-related data during sleep. Improved sensor systems, a dynamic lug design, and AI-based tools such as Energy Score and Running Coach aim to provide more personalized health guidance. The integration of Gemini into Wear OS allows users to perform tasks like scheduling or navigation via voice prompts directly from the watch.

To celebrate the launch, Samsung is offering promotions and rebates worth up to RM2,209 for purchases made until 31 August 2025.
