Samsung Expands One UI 8 Beta Program to More Galaxy Devices
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has announced the expansion of its One UI 8 beta program to a wider range of Galaxy devices, aiming to deliver enhanced AI-powered features and multimodal user experiences across its ecosystem.
Originally launched with the Galaxy S25 series in May, the beta program will now be available for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6 starting next week in South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and India.
Beginning in September, the program will further extend to additional models, including the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, Galaxy A36 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G, and A54. Interested users can register via the Samsung Members app.
One UI 8 introduces advanced multimodal capabilities that enable more natural and context-aware interactions. When used with Galaxy Buds3 or Buds3 Pro, users can activate Google Gemini via voice or a long press on either earbud. The update is designed to support various Galaxy form factors while offering personalised, proactive suggestions to improve daily productivity.
Samsung plans to officially launch One UI 8 in September, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. The final rollout will incorporate user feedback from the beta phase and will expand gradually to more eligible devices. One UI 8 Watch will also be extended to additional Galaxy Watch models beyond the Watch8 series later this year, featuring enhanced health tools and a more intuitive interface.
